Our God should be duly entreated with prayers. If we hold on to a form of godliness such as praying for a few minutes as a routine like evening family prayer or rosary (2Tim 3:5), but do not pray more than this, we are deceiving ourselves.

This, rather short form of godliness, does not give much power to our God as ought to be given. Thus, he cannot work his will in our lives. The consequence is, hence, tragic.
Prayerlessness can rob us of many things. It is a sin too (Rom 6:23). The best thing to avoid this is through due diligence and perseverance in prayer. God becomes enthroned.
