God of Silence

God loves silence in our everyday activities. This was revealed by Jesus to St Faustina wherein she was apprised of a fellow person who did not live a life in silence; Jesus was displeased with the person.

Moreover, many congregations have a strict rule of silence. The best known for this is the Carthusian order wherein monks maintain strict discipline including silence.

Maintaining silence can help others who are around to pray and grow spiritually. No wonder Jesus withdrew to places of solitude to pray and maintain close communion with God (Mark 6:46; Luke 6:12).
