Wisdom of Yore

When people see visions, they feel very tired. This is true most of the time. We can see that John was dead tired when he saw the vision of Christ(Revelation 1:17). All of the visions we get need not be true. Many Saints’ visions were not true and the Church holds these in suspicion or doubt.

St Teresa of Avila had a number of visions. All the people who heard about her visions thought that she was hallucinating and not of a sound mind. Later, after her life on Earth, many people began to believe that she received visions from Jesus.

Rejection from people is common in holy people’s lives. Even today many Shrines too are doubted about their truthfulness.
