Wisdom of Yore

Everything in this world is temporary and passing. Only God and spiritual things are lasting. He advises us not to put our heart on these earthly things and rather invest our efforts on Him or eternal life.

The Saints sought only heavenly things and were satisfied. A candle was brought to record the expression on St Therese of Lisieux’s face at the moment she would die. As the room was dark, the candle light captured a lovely and joyous expression the moment she passed into glory. Needless to say, she entered Heaven.

God is merciful and helps our efforts to enter Heaven. Everyone is called to be a Saint.
