A Holy Death

Jesus Christ conquered death on the Cross. Death stings us no more(1Corinthians 15:55). After Jesus’ victory we are raised imperishable and enter eternal life, if we live in His grace(1Corinthians 15:42). For this is what we strive for(1Corinthians 9:24).

Death

The death of Saints was holy. St Anthony of Padua saw Jesus at the moment of his death when he was lying in the arms of a trusted brother. When asked why St Anthony was looking at a particular place at the wall during this time, he revealed that he saw Jesus.

Death is welcoming to those who have prepared for it to meet their maker. Otherwise, it’s a terror.
