Sonship with God

To be a son is belonging to one’s family. Jesus was the perfect son of God. He is the heir (Mark 12:7) and is seated at God’s right hand (Mark 12:36).

Father and son

One of his qualities was that he was tirelessly working to fulfill his father’s will. He even said it was his food (John 4:34). He accomplished it completely- even to the minute details (John 19:30).

This quality is found in his beloved sons too: those who are his greatest Saints. I know such a person who found delight in doing his will completely and though he found it tough at times, his heart was set on it; it was such.

God’s relationship with people is connected to their hearts. He needs hearts like those of infants (Psalms 8:2).
