Wisdom of Yore

God has plans for us in life. These are for our own good. He thinks about nothing else but our own good (Jer 29:11). He is a good God and works in every thing and way for this purpose through peaceful means.

He is called the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). Also, when he afflicts, no one can deliver. Most of the time these afflictions lead to salvific graces.

This could be seen in the lives of his Saints. They had a long period of suffering of about a decade. When they came out from this and through it his glory was revealed. Sts like St Alphonsa were recorded of experiencing this.

God is a loving father.
