There is a very famous quote that infers that every sinner has a future and every Saint had a past. Though it is true to a certain extent and entirely not. Obviously, the crux of this quote is to encourage people to become a Saint. And this quote is from none other than St Augustine.

To corroborate this, St John the Baptist was said to be filled with the holy spirit right from his mother’s womb [Lk 1:15b]. This is very rare and also, he lived a life of that of a hermit in a forest eating locusts and wild honey [Mt 3:4].
This means that he was under God’s grace and sinned rarely. To delve into it further, he did not have a past. He remained in the tutelage of the holy spirit.
Even the Bible confirms that there is no one born of women who is great than St John the Baptist until the time [Mt 11:11].
Even St Maximilian Kolbe did not have a past. He started very young with the Lord from his early childhood.
But, yes. Everyone should be encouraged to become a Saint. And everyone is called to be one: having past or not doesn’t matter.
