God and Peace

Jesus Christ is a God of peace. The Bible calls him ‘Prince of Peace’ [Isaiah 9:6]. More so, it is written that peacemakers are called sons of God [Matthew 5:9]. This was truly unfolded in his Saints’ lives too.

The prominent of these was St Rita of Cascia. She turned a peacemaker and solved an ages long dispute between two quarreling families. Though this was the reason for her husband’s death, she took it all gracefully and with the help of God united both the families- a revelation had come to her regarding this in a vision.

Jesus is working in the lives of everyone even to this day. He wants to help us live in peace [Romans 12:18]. A great difference between the world’s ways and the Christian life, indeed. No bitterness or remorse is expected from us.
