Wisdom of Yore

Those who serve God lack no good thing(Psalm 34:10). They will be led out like calves from a stall(Mal 4:2). Even the hair of their heads are numbered(Luke 12:7). There is more gladness in them than in a rich man’s house with abundance of food and drink (Psalm 4:7).

The lives of the Saints was a witness to this. There was indescribable joy and grace even in suffering. St Alphonsa was never thought by people to have a life of suffering. She was on her sickbed most of the time. But her face was always joyous.

The Saints were given a great number of graces even though they experienced difficult times. God can take care of His people. He is a father first and then, God.
