God is King

God is a king. He is the King of kings. Our God rules over all the world. We are his subjects. It is no wonder that he expects us to do his will.

King

There is a majestic throne for him in heaven (Ezk 1:4-28). He has a court and courtiers with praise offered continually (Rev 4:8b,8c). These courtiers are the 24 elders (Rev 4:10).

God’s attributes can be understood by comparing his actions with those of Kings. He issues decrees (Lv 26:3-4); has a signet ring; a sceptre (Ps 45:6); a kingdom; a Queen Mother (Ps 45:9) and more.

We should duly offer worship for our great King.
