Wisdom of Yore

Jesus asks us to forgive anyone who has wronged us. We should not carry grudges against one another. He, Himself, set us an example by forgiving those who insulted and put Him on the Cross(Luke 23:24).

The Saints too exhibited this behaviour. One of them is St Maria Goretti who forgave her killer. When on the hospital bed, she was scared to reveal her killer to investigators. She thought that his life would be at risk and his family would bear the trouble resulting from it. She was just a child of 12 years old during the time of her death and became an inspiration for forgiveness.

As Christians, everyone of us is called to forgive and through our loving nature, our light should shine before all the people (Matthew 5:16).
