We are blessed when people persecute us. They did the same thing to the prophets before(Matthew 5:11,12). He blesses us all the more if this is done.
Jesus did go through a lot of persecution and eventually, death. He sure forgave his wrongdoers. But Father pronounced justice and punished those who did this to him(Matthew 26:24).
For it is said, ‘Vengeance is mine. I will repay'(Hebrews 10:30).
