Science does not totally negate the involvement of God in the creation of the universe and even life. There is a consensus among some scientists that there was this ontological leap, maybe in the evolution and the hand of God in the big bang too. It is disputed that the CHNOPS—responsible for life—elements came to the earth from the Kuiper belt beyond Pluto; the Oort cloud region of Comets or the asteroid belt between Jupiter and Mars.

Many scientists like Stephen Hawking believed that the big bang was controlled by an intelligent being or God. As the same cannot be attributed to chance because the odds are one in 10 trillion. This is akin to a human blindfolded and finding a painted grain of sand from all the beaches of the world.
One theory suggests that life originated from a primordial soup of hyper-thermophile microbes from the volcanic vents at the bottom of the Ocean. These microbes do not require light or Oxygen to survive, but only Methane and Hydrogen Sulphide.
Also, the creation in the Bible is held by scientists as a myth and symbolic. Many believe in the evolution but with a tinge of ontological leap in the process. The Catholic Church too recognizes evolution, as stated in Pope John Paul II’s encyclical Humani Generis, ‘There is new evidence that suggests evolution theory is not merely an hypothesis.’
More so, there are many schools of thought in the scientific community. But this theory seems to find common ground with the Church and the Bible. People may speculate or digress; it is all a matter of one’s thinking.
