Wisdom of Yore

Death can be distasteful. But, God can use it to sprout out a new seed(John 12:24) and bring glory to the Saint’s motherland. The martyrdom of His Saints was shared by Him to them well before in their life(John 15:15). Therefore, He called them friends.

St Edith Stein was recorded to know about her death all the while and the manner in which it would take place. She talked about it a number of times: she was to die in the concentration camps of Nazi Germany.

The wounds on the body of His Saints are to prove their love. But He never forsakes them even during this time. He is very fearsome (Jeremiah 20:11) and has purpose for everything.
