Wisdom of Yore

Everybody is called to suffer. Even Jesus Christ suffered unimaginably. But the suffering is to establish a purpose and reach a goal- the mission. It is not forever.

Suffering is God’s way of proving love. More so, it produces character too (Romans 5:3,4).

But we are not called to suffer eternally. There is rest for us. For some, suffering may be a mission on Earth and after it there is rest. For others, blessings are bestowed after suffering for a while during this life itself.

Sts like St Bernadette of Soubirous were promised happiness by Mother after her journey on Earth. Some other Saints I know lived a materially blessed life before passing into glory.
