Wisdom of Yore

Since I became acquainted with the art of writing through a common friend, there was always a fascination with the life stories of people. These autobiographies and biographies were fanning a curiosity in me. But such books were mostly about very prominent personalities in the secular world.

Gradually, I found my interest in the life of Catholic Saints presented in a lucid and conversational way by a reputed publisher. I would pore into these books hours together and the time would pass like a breeze. Even the reading would not feel like a chore.

This genre of books slowly filled the space in my bookshelf. I was wanting for more all the time and exhausted the collection in the catalogue for this genre in the publisher’s inventory.

Guided by Mother to read all the more, I understood later that she was preparing me to gain knowledge into these mystics’ lives. This would slowly translate into me finding common ground from my own life with these holy people’s anecdotes.

What resulted with this fixation towards this genre of books is to share wisdom in the context of a modern world through writing my own book.

I started writing this book through the early days of my writing career. Through the course of years, many articles were collected and the present book is a product built on these daily or frequent insights into godly things or inspiration for living lives more closer to God.

God plays his part to establish a connection in his faithful through people anointed by him with wisdom. Hope the articles strike the right chord with the readers and enrich their lives.
